Summer Employment Opportunities
Mattapoisett Recreation’s Summer Camp and Town Beach are looking for motivated individuals to join the staff for summer 2025. The Seahorse Explorers Program is an educational inspired day camp run out of Center School Monday-Fridays serving campers between the ages 4 & 12.
Mattapoisett Seahorse Explores Camp is hiring for the following positions:
NOTE: Must be available June 19th- August 8th
Summer Camp Director
Requirements: At least 24 years of age. Experience working with children in a structured environment (school or camp setting) Available minimum 36 hours per week Mon.-Fri. June 19th- August 8th.First Aid and CPR certification training will be provided.
Assistant Camp Director
Requirements: At least 21 years of age. Experience working with children in a structured environment (school or camp setting) Available minimum 36 hours per week Mon.-Fri. June 19th- August 8th First Aid and CPR certification training will be provided.
Counselor
Requirements: At least 16 years of age. Experience dealing with young children. Available minimum 25 hours per week. First Aid and CPR certification training will be provided.
Mattapoisett Town Beach is hiring for the following positions:
Lifeguard:
Requirements: At least 16 years of age. Current Lifeguard Certifications. Availability June 19th- August 16th. Certification ready physical fitness level

*MATTREC PICKLEBALL AND TENNIS PROGRAMS are on the following days and times:
Mondays, 9:30-12:00pm
Tuesdays, 9:30-12:00pm
Wednesdays, 9:30-12:00pm, 5:00-7:00pm
Thursdays, 9:30-12:00pm
Fridays, 9:30-12:00pm

*ADULT DROP IN PICKLEBALL runs on the following days and times:
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 to 9:30 AM
Tuesdays evenings, 5:00 to Dusk
Thursday evenings from 5:00 to DUSK
Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 AM
These sessions use both the Pickleball court and the tennis court adjacent to the Pickleball Court.
